10 Years Down the Road....
My vision of my life in 10 years:
My Life: Snapshot of my ideal life:
Career: In 10 years my ideal career would be a head coach of a Division 1 baseball program.
Income: One thing I have learned from life experiences and seeing others go through their life experiences is that I want to do what I love. Of course income is a huge factor, however if I have to take a low payday to do what I love that is the route I want to take. If I had to put an ideal number on my Income it would be $80,000 a year.
Net Worth: I believe net worth is much more important to than Income, because I plan to strategize my income over these 10 years so that I am making and saving money each and every year. By this time I would like to also own my own home also. So I would like to put my net worth somewhere in the hundreds of thousands.
Home: I would like to own my own home; however I do not think it is realistic to believe it would be my dream home just yet.
Geography: This aspect of my career is still up in the air to me. I would like to live near my family, which would be ideal. However, I am willing to go anywhere geographically wise according to where my dream job takes me.
Lifestyle: I would like to live comfortably, but I am aware that in the beginning of my career it is going to be financially tough.
Health: Ideally, I would like to be in perfect health.
Family: If financially able I would like to have a wife and child by this point.
Relationship: I would like my assistant coaches to be like my brother’s. I have made many connections and have played with players from all over the country in my playing career. I would like to see some of these relationships to become stronger.
Education: To be a head college coach I will have to have my master’s by this point.

Philosophy Statement
My philosophy to finding a full-time job and to become successful in the sports and recreation industry is very simple. I believe the most important thing is you have to out work your competition. This means putting in the extra hours, and learning more than other people in your field. For me personally, in the coaching industry, this means long hours…period. I will have to work harder on the field, in the classroom, in recruiting, and watching film to become an expert of my craft. The only way I am going to achieve my goals is not to make college programs want me, but make college programs need me.
